- Teach craft classes at the local fabric or craft store.
- Sell patternsĀ of your favorite crafts on your blog, website or Etsy store so others can make them at home. You can make patterns designated for sale if you don’t want to give away your prized designs.
- Put Google AdSense on your blog or website. You probably won’t make more than a few cents each day, but every little bit helps, right?
- Sell extra supplies (fabric scraps, leftover beads, etc.) on Etsy, craigslist or Ebay.
- Write how-to articles for eHow.
- Write a crafting book.
- License your designs/prints to a larger manufacturer. A friend of a friend of mine designs dozens of prints for Chadwick’s, and she makes great money doing this! (It also seems sooo fun!)
- Sell in multiple locations online – Etsy, Artfire, your website, BigCartel, etc. Just be sure you have time to keep up with it all. It can get inundating!
- Get a part-time job working at a store that sells the materials you need for crafting. Hopefully you’re wholesaling everything you need, but the discount sometimes is better than manufacturer pricing.
