Twitter Tools for Pro Crafters

Twuffer
Twuffer allows you to schedule future tweets. This is useful if you want to brainstorm 10-12 tweets (or more) and schedule them over a vacation or a particularly busy time when you don’t want to be tied to the computer. Also, if you’re working full-time in addition to your crafting business, it’s a great way to look like you’re tweeting all day…even if you’re working hard for the man (or woman)! It conveniently keeps track of your tweets queue and your sent tweets.

TweetLater
TweetLater is similar to Twuffer in that it allows you to schedule future tweets. However, they’ve got some kinks to work out. What I love about it is that you can save “drafts” that you can reuse over and over again if needed. What I don’t like is a somewhat quirky user interface. I think it could be simplified.

Twhirl
Have both a personal and business Twitter account? Twhirl can help you manage these. And even if you don’t have multiple accounts, Twhirl can make your Twitter life much simpler. It provides a sort of chat-like interface to use Twitter. It runs on Adobe Air, and it’s just a nice application all around. I use it daily.

Twitteroo
Like Twhirl, Twitteroo is a desktop interface for Twitter. It includes automatic URL shortening, notifications, automatic refresh and some cool customization tools. I haven’t used it yet, but a lot of people do…so I’m sure it must be somewhat good! :)

Twitter Search
What a cool tool. You can type in any term, just like in Google, and this search engine will show you who’s talking about it right now. This is an awesome way to find those who might be interested in your products.

Let me reiterate that there are HUNDREDS of Twitter tools (and the list is growing every day). To check out some others and find what’s right for you, go to this list of 140+ Twitter tools (with links). As my mom always said, “Keep it simple.” Enjoy!

Our site uses Wordpress, and that is just a plugin that they have. It’s called “Twitter Friends.” Here is the site: http://www.paulmc.org/whatithink/wordpress/plugins/twitter-friends-widget/
